N ever say never...Yesterday..... HMD Global started selling three new Nokia devices in Brazil. In order to expand the portfolio of basic mobile phones with the support of the latest generation mobile network, the manufacturer introduced the Nokia G60 5G, as well as the Nokia 105 4G (2022) and the Nokia T10 tablet in the South American country.
Officially announced in September 2022, the Nokia G60 5G will finally hit the national market as a cost-effective solution to compete against the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G and Motorola Moto G62 in Brazil. The brand's new mobile phone has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
In the camera department, the Nokia G60 5G brings a triple set with a 50MP main sensor, in addition to a 5MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. A front camera with an 8 MP sensor is hidden in the drop-shaped notch of the display.
"The Nokia G60 5G is the second 5G device that HMD is launching domestically in Brazil. We are constantly looking to bring these innovations to the local market," said Junior Favaro, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMD Global Brazil.
Processing is done by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, which arrives in the country with a single memory option that combines 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. To power the hardware, the device has a 4500mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. The model will run Android 12, but HMD Global promises three Android updates (13, 14 and 15) for the Nokia G60 5G.
Other specifications of the phone include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and eSIM support. 100% of the device's back and 60% of its body are made of recycled... plastic, which reiterates the brand's commitment to protecting the environment. The Nokia G60 5G is available now on Multi's marketplace for a suggested retail price of BRL 1999 (GBP 319, EUR 366, USD 403 and INR 32989), but is also available on retail platforms at a more affordable price. This device has only one color: black. The Nokia T10 is designed to be both compact and powerful. It is equipped with an 8-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and tempered glass. A 2 MP front camera is located on the upper edge. The single rear camera has a resolution of 8 MP and supports autofocus. To ensure an affordable cost, the tablet is equipped with a Unisoc T606 processor. The platform works with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512 GB with a MicroSD card. Powering this hardware is a 5,250mAh battery that supports up to 10W charging. The “base” model leaves the factory running Android 12. The company promises the user two major updates to the operating system up to Android 14, in addition to three years of monthly security updates. Other features include stereo speakers with OZO Playback, dual-band Wi-Fi and support for Google Kids Space. The Nokia T10 is now available in a single color variant, 'Azul Profundo', with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage on the brand's official website at a suggested price of BRL 1399 (GBP 223, EUR 256, USD 282 and INR 23087). The simple, classic looking mobile phone lands in the Brazilian market to attract users looking for the basic features of a mobile phone. The Nokia 105 4G has a 1.8-inch screen with QQVGA resolution. Its user interface is designed with large elements and buttons for a smooth experience. Equipped with Unisoc T107 technology, the phone has 48 MB of RAM and 128 MB of internal storage for storing contacts and SMS messages. In addition, it is the first Nokia phone with 4G support in Brazil. Its 1020 mAh replaceable battery can be charged via a Micro USB port. With a single charge, the mobile phone offers up to 5 hours of 4G calls. In standby mode, autonomy can reach 18 days without needing an outlet. The Nokia 105 4G is available on the brand's official website at a suggested price of BRL 369 (GBP 58, EUR 67, USD 74 and INR 6089). The model is available in black.
