The new UGC Alpha update, which has just been announced for PUBG: Battlegrounds, is coming this month and will bring a lot more capabilities to this widely played game. Unfortunately, the features that will be introduced soon are only for PC devices and the Alpha update will arrive on August 13, 2025.
New UGC Alpha features will be added to the battle royale game this month, on August 13, 2025, as part of a new update. As mentioned, the update will only be available on PC devices. The post shared by X revealed that after the update, users will be able to build their own battlefield, set up rules as they wish, and also invite their friends to play together. With the new sample modes, Plus players will be able to create sessions using the UGC Alpha features.
A teaser video was also shared via the PUBG Battlegrounds X handle, revealing the capabilities that can be enjoyed with the UGC Alpha features. Custom maps can be created by users with all the necessary elements and tasks, and users can set their own preferences for how they want to play. They can also invite friends to challenge and battle together, as we pointed out above.
On PC devices, the PUBG Battlegrounds video game is completely free to play via the Epic Store, Xbox, Sony PlayStation 4, and Steam gaming platforms.
