CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. It will take place between January 9 and 12, 2024 at the usual location, the Las Vegas Convention Center, where HMD Global, or HMD America, will now also be present. Priced at just £199 (EUR 249, USD 262, INR 22015), HMD Fusion is the pinnacle of technological innovation at an affordable price.
The phone has a stainless steel reinforced plastic body. According to HMD, in line with the grunge aesthetic favored by Generation Z, the phone embodies the fashionable styles of industrialism and minimalism. The Casual Outfit case that comes with the device features a stylized HMD logo and protects the phone.
The device has Gen 2 repairability, so it's easier than ever to replace a broken screen, dead battery or other component. Audio bending spare parts and repair manuals are provided by iFixit, and even the most basic consumer should be able to repair the phone at home.

To kick things off, Human Mobile Devices is launching Fusion Outfits2 later this year, which aims to enhance the smartphone experience. Designed for creators, the Flashy Outfit is a built-in ring light that can be used for both front and rear cameras. A robust outfit will save you from trouble. The IP68-rated shell is dustproof and protects against immersion in water. It has magnetic wireless charging and an ICE button in case of emergency, making it the best friend of any adrenaline rush. The Wireless Outfit brings wireless charging technology that is usually only available on more expensive phones.
The screen size is 6.56 inches, with HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Power is provided by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, which offers 5G support. There are 4, 6, 8 or 12 gigabytes of RAM and 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal storage. A memory card up to a terabyte is also supported.

The battery has a size of 5000 mAh and can be charged with a power of 33 watts via the USB-C connector. Other features worth mentioning include eSIM and NFC support.
The operating system is said to be Android 14, which promises 2 Android version updates as well as 3 years of security updates. The HMD Fusion is equipped with a built-in detox mode, which will be released later this year. Detox mode allows the user to customize digipause to suit your needs, allowing you to focus on living in the moment without distractions.
