E ven in Q1 2025, Nothing was announced as the fastest growing brand in India with a 156% year-on-year growth, and now, according to the latest report by Counterpoint Research, the brand has retained its position as the fastest growing smartphone brand in India in Q2 2025. Nothing CEO Carl Pei shared this big update on the X platform.
This is a huge achievement for the brand as the company has been the fastest growing smartphone brand in India for six consecutive quarters. Nothing is said to be the first smartphone brand to ever achieve this, 6 quarters of industry-leading growth. This growth is said to have been driven by the newly launched CMF Phone 2 Pro and the brand’s robust retail expansion efforts.
Nothing phones seem to have garnered a lot of consumer attention in India, which is considered the fastest growing smartphone industry. Recently, Nothing's sub-brand, CMF by Nothing, also shifted its global marketing function to India.
Overall, the Indian smartphone market volume grew by 8% year-on-year and 18% year-on-year in Q2 2025. The boom was driven by a 33% year-on-year jump in new launches, aggressive marketing, and strong summer sales that offered steeper discounts, easy EMIs, and bundled deals, especially in the mid-range and premium segments.
