N okia Mobile has released the latest September security update for the Nokia G50 and Nokia 4.2 smartphones, which is now available in several regions. Below you will find the size of the updates, a list of markets and a log of update changes.

Nokia G50 Security Update Size:
The update size of the Nokia G50 is 40.88 MB. You will be prompted to download the update or you can check for system updates and then update in the Settings menu.
Nokia 4.2 security update size:
The update size of Nokia 4.2 is 10.33 MB. You will be prompted to download the update or you can check for system updates and then update in the Settings menu.
Nokia G50 and Nokia 4.2 Security Update Change Log:
The Nokia G50 and Nokia 4.2 will only receive the Android security patch in September. There are two update entries, one for normal updates and the other for Google Play system metadata (which allows you to download the relevant Project Mainline fixes, so it’s a tiny apk in size). The most serious of these is a high vulnerability in the Media Framework component that could allow a local malicious application to bypass operating system protection, which separates application data from other applications. The severity assessment is based on the potential impact that exploiting the vulnerability could have on the affected device, provided that the platform and downgrading are disabled for development purposes or successfully bypassed.
