U nfortunately, I have to write this, because there have been examples of this before - new update problems occurred for several device owners after installing the update released by Nokia Mobile, which was made available for the Nokia 8.3 5G smartphones.

The latest problem with the device is that the device gets stuck in the recovery menu. According to Hikari Calyx, some users have suddenly received an OS update and after rebooting, the phone gets stuck on the Fastboot screen. Hikari said unlocking the bootloader would fix this problem. Since the recovery is still bootable, all you have to do is follow the bootloader unlock guide from XDA Developers.

If you have already unlocked the bootloader, you should be able to boot into the OS. Here you should see what the latest update is and it looks like the May 2023 security patch may be causing the problem.

The Nokia 8.3 5G is a Nokia-branded smartphone released by HMD Global Oy and running Android One. It is HMD's first 5G phone and was announced on 19 March 2020 alongside the Nokia 5.3, Nokia 1.3 and Nokia 5310. According to HMD CEO Juho Sarvikas, the Nokia 8.3 5G is the first smartphone to be compatible with all working 5G networks when it was announced and released in September 2020.
