N okia Mobile has now made available the May 2022 security update to users of budget-centric Nokia 7.2 smartphones, which is now available in several regions. See the update size, list of markets, and update change log below.

The size of the Nokia 7.2 update is 8.38 MB. You will be prompted to download the update, or you can check for system updates in the Settings menu and then check for the update.

Nokia 7.2 will only receive the May 2022 Android security patch along with the update. The purpose of the May security update is on the official Google Security Bulletin page.
The most serious of these is a high vulnerability in the Media Framework component that could allow a local malicious application to bypass operating system protection, which separates application data from other applications. The severity assessment is based on the potential impact that exploiting the vulnerability could have on the affected device, provided that the platform and downgrading are disabled for development purposes or successfully bypassed.
