A nother Christmas surprise for Nokia Mobile is the December security update for Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 Smartphones, which is now available in several regions. See the update size, list of markets, and update change log below.

Nokia 6.1 December Security Update Size:
The size of the Nokia 6.1 update is 32.89 MB. You may be prompted to download the update, or you can check for system updates in the Settings menu and then check for the update.
Nokia 7 Plus December Security Update Size:
The update size of the Nokia 7 Plus is 32.46 MB. You may be prompted to download the update, or you can check for system updates in the Settings menu and then check for the update.

Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 Plus will only receive the December security update. The December security update is intended to cover the official Google security bulletin. The update will keep the same build number for Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 Plus.
The most serious of these is a high vulnerability in the Media Framework component that could allow a local malicious application to bypass operating system protection, which separates application data from other applications. The severity assessment is based on the potential impact that exploiting the vulnerability could have on the affected device, provided that the platform and downgrading are disabled for development purposes or successfully bypassed.
