Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 5.1 Plus September Security Patch

N okia Mobile has made the September security patch available for Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 5.1 Plus, which is now available in several regions. Below you will find the size of the updates, a list of markets and a log of update changes.

Nokia 2.2 Security Update Size:
The upgrade size for Nokia 2.2 is 27.85 MB. You will be prompted to download the update or you can check for system updates and then update in the Settings menu.
Nokia 3.2 security update size:
The upgrade size for Nokia 3.2 is 20.60 MB. You will be prompted to download the update or you can check for system updates and then update in the Settings menu.
Nokia 5.1 Plus Security Update Size:
Unfortunately, I have no information about the Nokia 5.1 Plus update size. You will be prompted to download the update or you can check for system updates and then update in the Settings menu.
Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 5.1 Plus September Security Update Change Log:
Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 5.1 Plus will only receive the September security update and thus the Android security patch. There are two update entries, one for normal updates and the other for Google Play system metadata (which allows you to download the relevant Project Mainline fixes, so it’s a tiny apk in size). The most serious of these is a high vulnerability in the Media Framework component that could allow a local malicious application to bypass operating system protection, which separates application data from other applications. The severity assessment is based on the potential impact that exploiting the vulnerability could have on the affected device, provided that the platform and downgrading are disabled for development purposes or successfully bypassed.
