HMD Global is preparing several new headphones and two smartwatches, as several certifications have already confirmed. There will certainly be new phones from HMD, and now the company's CEO, Jean-Francois Baril, has also given a hint about this. In addition, the old leaker, whom I think you already know, Hikari Calyx, has filmed a release of a phone similar to the old Nokia Asha phone and Lumia design, which HMD Global plans to launch in the near future.
There are no real photos yet, but Hikari has made a very good picture of the expected phone based on the information he provided. Baril shared a picture on his LinkedIn profile, in which he is holding an interesting phone and an OffGrid satellite device. The phone is interesting because a similar device is not yet available in the company's current lineup.
The picture shows the previously unknown phone in cyan and red tones. What makes the phone special is the huge camera area that runs the entire width of the phone. It looks like there are only two cameras, and they are accompanied by an LED flash.
However, the overall design of the device is very similar to other phones. The body is likely made of plastic and has a rather angular design. There is currently no information on which phone this is. It could be a prototype of an existing phone or a new model that will be released soon. HMD was expected to update its affordable Pulse line, and there have been rumors about an HMD Pulse 2, for example. Based on the image, it could very well be a more affordable phone model.
