W ithout much or even any announcement, a new low-end phone with a classic design has been spotted on HMD's Pakistani store, called the HMD 105 Pure. The device is part of the well-known Nokia 105 series of phones that have been very popular around the world since 2013. In 2022, it was reported that more than 200 million Nokia 105 series phones were sold worldwide, making it one of the best-selling Finnish phones.
The story of the collection began in 2013 at Nokia, but the success was successfully continued by Microsoft and HMD Global. Now, however, HMD is gradually leaving the Nokia brand, and this is also reflected in the Nokia 105 product line. Now the name has changed and the legendary Nokia 105 version released in 2021 is now known as the HMD 105 Pure.
It is largely the same phone as the technology has not been updated much and the design has remained the same. The HMD 105 Pure comes in two color variants, gray and blue. The phone has a 1.8-inch screen with a QVGA resolution.
The battery is 800 mAh and is user-removable. Charging can be done via the old micro-USB charging port. Power is provided by the Unisoc 6531E chipset, which is paired with 4 MB of RAM and 4 MB of storage. The operating system is Series S30+. The HMD 105 Pure is still a 2G-only device.
The exact price or availability of the phone has not been confirmed yet. The HMD 105 Pure will not be available in Europe as the phone does not have a USB-C connector. The HMD 105 Pure is listed on the company's Pakistani website, which you can view by clicking on the link below.
