M istral’s AI now supports deep research. Le Chat has received updates to better match its competitors’ offerings. OpenAI, Google, and other big names in the field dominate the AI market, but French startup Mistral is also competing. The recently announced Deep Research reform uses the company’s Le Chat AI for deep research.
Gemini and ChatGPT, as well as xAI Grok and Perplexity’s AI, have already received a broadly similar reform. "Mistral's feature quickly generates extensive research reports based on text prompts, allowing for in-depth reflection," the press release describes.
"In practice, thanks to the reforms, Le Chat digs deeper into the Internet's information library and searches for the most comprehensive answers to users' questions and prompts. The feature is ideal for, for example, implementing travel plans or conducting comprehensive market analysis," Mistral product manager Elisa Salamanca told TechCrunch."
In parallel, Mistral has released updates to Le Chat's image editing features, as well as a completely new Projects package that allows for collaboration with chat and sharing features.
The update has already been released for both free users (free) and Pro, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. "The next goal is to integrate AI that generates deep reports with Le Chat and other company services, for example, to generate entities that meet the needs of companies," Mistral describes.
