NEW DELHI: Digital infrastructure provider Lightstorm has created a Cognitive Network Operations Center (NOC) digital twin using Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia's automation solutions to enable telecom operators to efficiently manage and optimize their networks.
The solution is expected to launch in the coming months, and will provide telcos with network visibility, predictive analytics, and operational efficiency capabilities, the companies said in a joint statement Monday.
The Cognitive NOC digital twin uses Network Services Platform (NSP) and Nokia Digital Operations software, including Network Assurance Center, Unified Inventory and provisioning capabilities, to build a comprehensive real-time monitoring and automation framework backed by the Meta Llama 3 large language model (LLM). The solution delivers artificial intelligence (AI)-driven insights, enabling automated fault detection, analysis and resolution and intelligent troubleshooting.
"By collaborating with Nokia and its data source from various deployed Nokia systems, we have developed a next-generation AI-powered platform that redefines network operations," said Lalit Chowdhary, chief technology and information officer at Lightstorm. "This Digital Twin will significantly enhance the customer experience by enabling proactive service assurance, reducing downtime, and improving operational agility and reducing dependency on human knowledge."
