Venom is the second film featuring the Marvel Comics character who portrays Spider-Man's archenemy, following 2007's Spider-Man 3. The film began filming in October 2017 in Atlanta, New York and San Francisco. The story centers on journalist Eddie Brock, who is attacked by a symbiote from space. He uses the super power he gained to punish the criminals of the cities.
Carlton Drake invests in modern technologies such as space exploration and the pharmaceutical industry. One of his exploratory spaceships transports some strange creatures from a comet home to Earth, one of which escapes, the rest are given to the Life Foundation. Eddie Brock works as an investigative reporter in San Francisco. One of his assignments is to interview Carlton Drake, head of the Life Foundation. The interview goes badly because Eddie accuses her of killing people during her research.
