HMD Global has announced a new app called HMD First Class on the Google Play Store that promises to offer an eSIM-based roaming solution, and the app is now available on the Google Play Store. The service aims to make international travel seamless, without roaming charges or having to swap physical SIM cards.
With HMD First Class, the user can install and activate an eSIM directly from the app, enabling fast connectivity. The service offers global coverage, and the user can choose between local or regional data plans depending on their destination.

This is not the first time that HMD has offered a roaming service for frequent travelers. In 2020, the company launched a service called HMD Connect, which worked on the same principle and offered eSIM-based mobile data plans to travelers. However, the service was discontinued in September 2022. Now, it seems that HMD is back in the market with a new, and possibly better, solution for the company.
It seems that the HMD First Class service is based on technology from Gigs Wireless LLC. Gigs Wireless is known for its eSIM solutions, and with the company's services, HMD can offer its users a flexible solution. HMD has not yet made an official announcement about the First Class service, but the appearance of the app on the Google Play app store suggests that the launch could be imminent.
