HMD's upcoming DUB P70 ENC earphone device, which followed its earlier listing in the TDRA certification database, has now appeared in the FCC certification database as well. The HMD DUB P70 ENC earphone device has received FCC certification and is listed in the certification database as a "TWS wireless Bluetooth headset". According to the certification listing, the earphones support Bluetooth version 5.3 connectivity and each earphone and the charging case come with a 35 mAh and 400 mAh battery backup. Notably, the HMD DUB P70 ENC will be manufactured in India by Califonix Tech and Manufacturing Private Limited, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Coming to the user manual, we can understand that the earphones will feature capacitive touchscreens and light indicators. The charging case also has a light indicator and will glow white while charging and then turn off when fully charged. It is also worth noting that the output of the charger used should be between 5W ~ 10W and the Bluetooth range is 10 meters. Users are also advised to keep the temperature between 15°C and 25°C for best performance. To avoid interference, it should be kept away from medical devices (implanted), with a distance of at least 6 inches.
Regarding its design, we can learn from the revealed live images that the charging case of the HMD DUB P70 ENC earphones has a tall, pill-shaped design with a flat bottom, while the earbuds are beaded, also with a flat appearance. The charging case light indicator is located towards the lower part of the front. There appear to be two microphones on each earbud (likely a four-microphone setup), and the charging pins of the earbuds are located at the bottom of the stem. They add that the listed headset device maintains a single color scheme for both the charging case and the earphones, and features a cyan (blue-green) hue.
Apart from the DUB P70 ENC earphones, HMD also has a number of other earphones, smartwatches, and smartphones in the pipeline, and like the others, it is believed that the earphones that have now been listed on the FCC will also break cover soon.
