HMD Global today unveiled its latest smartphone, the HMD Fusion, an affordable device whose idea is to change functions and style with a shell. This is how the HMD Fusion will initially be distributed, but additional devices will be available later this year.
A possible new version of the mobile phone of the HMD 2300 device
08. 10. 2024 Tuesday / By: Robert Denes / Leakage / Exact time: BST / Print this pageIn 2024, the Finnish company HMD Global launched many products under its own HMD brand name, while the Nokia brand is beginning to recede into the background. The new Nokia smartphones haven't been seen again from HMD, but the feature phones have. For mobile phones, HMD Global's current agreement to license the Nokia brand runs until early 2026.
HMD Global is also looking forward to continuing the Nokia Originals product line, which over the years has included many products inspired by Nokia phones. Well, once again MEME'S, which has been diligent in sharing more or less accurate information about HMD's products on the X service, has shared the above low-quality product image of a phone that looks like the original Nokia 2300 phone released by Nokia in 2003.
HMD is probably working on a revival of the colorful Nokia 2300. The first image can be a promotional rendering. The color scheme (a mix of pink and purple), the layout of the buttons and the overall design give off a playful, vintage feel. The rounded buttons and on-screen icons suggest that this is a feature phone, likely aimed at a younger audience or nostalgic users.
Also, in response to the original image post, an apparently real image of the new Nokia 2300 phone has been received. However, the authenticity of the image is not guaranteed. Based on its design, the phone seems to be built on the same basis as many other phones with HMD functions. Most recently in the Nokia Originals series, HMD released the Nokia 3210 in May. However, it is not yet clear if a new Nokia 2300 is coming from HMD. This could be an unrealized plan or a copy made by someone else, because in the displayed photo it looks as if a Nokia logo was satirized in black.
