P revious updates have already revealed that HMD has a few new smartphones that are expected to launch soon. Now, the HMD Vibe 2 has been spotted on a retailer’s website, revealing its specifications and design. Three other new HMD smartphones have also been spotted on the EPREL database.
The HMD Vibe 2 smartphone, which will be the successor to the HMD Vibe device that was released in April 2024, has been spotted on JB Hi-Fi (a retailer’s website) and has been revealed to be available in 4GB/256GB storage along with Dark Grey/Light Titanium color options.
Coming to the design, a two-tone design has been adopted, with an overall flat boxy look. At the back, there are two circular, vertically placed camera modules on the top left of the rear panel, which house the camera sensors. There is also a two-tone LED flash on the right side of the front. The bezels are a bit thin, but the chin is on the thicker side. The volume rockers and power button are also found on the right-hand side.
HMD smartphones with model numbers "TA-1640", "TA-1687", and "TA-1695" have been spotted in the EPREL database, confirming their availability in Europe. The "TA-1640" is the newly released HMD Fuse, while the latter two are believed to be the HMD Pulse 2 and HMD Pulse 2 Pro smartphone models (as per the new update). All of these aforementioned devices have received an "A" rating for battery efficiency - thanks to the 4,900mAh battery they house.
With its launch, the specifications of the HMD Fuse have already been revealed, while the HMD Pulse 2 and HMD Pulse 2 Pro have been revealed with IP54 dust and water resistance and 20W wired fast charging support. I'll just add that previously the "TA-1695" - HMD Pulse 2 Pro smartphone was discovered in the WiFi Alliance certification database, along with four other HMD smartphones.
