Sanjay Malik, Nokia’s senior vice president and head of India, said: “Mobile data usage CAGR (compound annual growth rate) increased to 53 per cent between 2017 and 2021, with data used by consumers on a monthly basis increasing 3 times to 17 GB per month. mobile broadband users have increased 2.2-fold All perspectives on data usage show significant growth in India”.

According to the report, India will have more than 160 million smartphones ever shipped in 2021, including 30 million 5G devices, more than 80 percent of active 4G-capable devices, and more than 10 million active 5G-capable devices.
