Ari Partinen, guru of Microsoft’s Nokia Lumia Photography, has joined Microsoft’s Surface division to develop new imaging solutions for Surface products such as the Surface Pro and Surface Duo.

Ari Partinen began working for Nokia Telecommunications Nokia in 2009 as an image quality expert and was also responsible for Lumia’s photography features, helping Microsoft turn Lumia phones into one of the best camera phones in the world.
On Twitter, the head of Nokia Lumia Photography confirmed that he had joined the Microsoft Surface division.
He didn’t detail it, so we don’t know how he’s going to help Microsoft, but it looks like he’s Microsoft’s new “Imaging Director” and is likely to contribute to the development of the next generation. For Surface Duo-like products.Microsoft is also experimenting with other ideas to improve camera quality on dual-screen devices. In one patent, Microsoft detailed a camera with a moving image sensor that allows the camera module to be much thinner, especially when folded.
