Nokia has exited the Russian market due to the Russian embargo

Founded in 2025, HMD Secure focuses on secure phones, service platforms and accessories for critical businesses, as well as the needs of defense, law enforcement, first responders and critical infrastructure administrators both.

In September, HMD Secure introduced its first smartphone, the Ivalo XE, designed and manufactured in Europe, and now the Terra M expands its product range. The HMD Terra M is a compact, highly durable, so-called simple smartphone, specifically designed for the needs of authorities, industry and others who work in demanding environments.

"By combining rugged, purpose-built hardware with enterprise-grade connectivity, push-to-talk on mobile, pre-installed enterprise applications, secure fleet management and a partner-managed ecosystem, we provide our customers with a platform that works out of the box and can be adapted to their operations."

The HMD Terra M features a 2.8-inch touchscreen that can be used with gloves. The device features programmable Push-to-Talk and emergency buttons, a powerful speaker, pre-installed business apps to support quick deployment, and device management (MDM) support. Durability is proven by MIL-STD-810H testing conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense, and IP68 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. Drop resistance is up to 1.8 meters.

The Terra M supports 4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi, network tethering, NFC, dual SIM and eSIM. The technical basis is the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 SoC, and HMD promises five years of quarterly security updates for the device.

Lyfo offers phone connection packages that provide redundant service through a smart network switching solution between different operators, ensuring reliable coverage across borders, remote or risky environments. The Terra M integrates with Zello and Mobile Tornado Push-to-Talk services. It also supports certain applications, such as the Threema messaging app with strong encryption, the Joplin note-taking app, and online and offline navigation with the OsmAnd app.

The HMD Terra M has a battery life of up to 10 days, with a 2,510 mAh battery. The Terra M also comes with a range of professional accessories, including a charging dock that can be connected in parallel to up to ten devices, and a durable belt holster for quick access.
