One of the best things about the Nokia G42 is its repairability. The phone is designed to be easily disassembled, and some parts that are most likely to break can be easily replaced. Nokia Mobile has made an agreement with iFixit to make the display, charging port, back cover and battery available in their online store.
Also, when you buy an original Nokia battery for the G42, you also get an iFixit tool kit that makes the replacement process easier.
The battery replacement kit is priced at EUR 29.95 (GBP 25, USD 31, INR 2657), which is quite reasonable. According to Nokia, the battery can be replaced in as little as 5 minutes, saving you a fraction of what you might pay at a repair shop.
The Nokia G42 display is the most expensive part, priced at EUR 54.95 (GBP 47, USD 58, INR 4,871) The kit alone may not be enough to replace the screen as you will likely need a heat gun to loosen the adhesive.
The charging port is the cheapest part for EUR 24.95 (GBP 21, USD 26, INR 2214) in stock and ready to ship. The slightly higher price is justified by the inclusion of the basic tools in the replacement set.
