The round table on the FLEX crisis was convened at the Ministry of Economic Development, which, as usual, ensured the presence of not only the trade unions, but also the FVG Region, Confindustria and, of course, the company.

A path that MISE has clearly stated will take time to understand its definition.
The company, advocated by social partners, expressed its interest in investigating this type of opportunity, further deepening the framework for the possible industrial development of the reference markets, and made progress in some projects (primarily the quantum optics project of the Port Authority of Trieste). ), however, without ever wanting to find out about the workforce that the organizations asked to be able to participate meaningfully, also considering that the impact of solidarity has recently been the sudden components, or therefore activities carried out in certain production segments. Perhaps the most important step remained unfinished here, namely the "removal" of the redundancy statement from the table, on which the company, with little courage, once again wanted to take time to carry out further evaluations.
The trade union organizations uniformly requested the definition of a clear and scheduled path, on which they can intervene with all useful means, to facilitate the process of transformation of the plant, guaranteeing the employment of both permanent and temporary workers (this is what they requested). the question of the solidarity wage supplement). This path must be marked by the ministry, the only one that can offer concrete solutions to preserve employment today. The company obviously needs more courage: seizing the possibility of making the Trieste site a strategic location requires, above all, a management that is able to grasp the Ministry's signals as challenging, but at the same time of great employment value.
That's why we want to clearly state that everyone should consider July 22, the date of the next ministerial meeting, as a decisive step for the future of FLEX."
