The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications of Pakistan has disclosed that the CEO of the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia, will visit Pakistan in the near future. The development came after Wille Eerola, Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Chairman of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council called on Acting Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif on Tuesday. At the meeting, both leaders discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as issues related to increasing IT exports, the press release states.
According to the details, the Consul General of Pakistan in Finland and Wille Eerola, President of the Finland-Pakistan Business Council met the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Umar Saif. Issues related to increasing IT exports and issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
Dr Umar Saif said that there were great opportunities of increasing Pakistan IT exports in Scandinavian countries.
He said that CEO of Nokia was coming soon in Pakistan, adding that Nokia 4G phones were being assembled in Pakistan. 5G and 6G technology would be discussed with CEO Nokia during his Pakistan visit, On the occasion, Wille Eerola congratulated Dr. Umar Saif on assuming office of Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication.
