The two companies have also signed a new strategic agreement, with developments enabling more modern, faster and more extensive data transmission, which will also make the use of artificial intelligence easier.
The 4iG Group has entered into a strategic agreement with Nokia, the Finnish company participating in the modernization and unification of IP access (DWDM) transmission central backbone networks, the company announced. The goal of the development is to “build a future-proof, energy-efficient and secure network infrastructure that can handle increasing data traffic, support the development of digital services and guarantee sustainable operation in the long term”, meaning that the system capacity will be greater and the data transmission speed will be faster.
Nokia was selected through an invited international tender, and the decision was made based on international references, the compatibility and future-proofness of the technology, and sustainable solutions. The cooperation could start as early as 2025.
The new system, according to the announcement, “provides fast, stable and secure connections and also supports the construction of the country’s artificial intelligence infrastructure,” by serving “the significantly increasing connectivity needs of artificial intelligence and data center connections,” but will also develop a fully automated, cloud-based service model.
