Nokia presents use cases for the Vodafone Idea 5G

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) announced on Friday that it has demonstrated 5G use cases in Pune and Gandhinagar, such as public safety, smart connected healthcare, smart construction and connected workers.

In doing so, Vodafone Idea introduced 5G-based applications such as Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable Low Delay Communication (uRLLC), Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC), Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR) \ / AR), among others.

Ravinder Takkar, CEO of Vodafone Idea Limited, said: "Our 5G trials are underway, Vi is preparing to take India on the next path of fifth-generation wireless mobile technology. Our 5G trials show a whole new world of possibilities in different areas, which promise a new era of technological development in India".

Telco is developing use cases in segments such as industry 4.0, intelligent. cities, smart health, smart workplace, smart education, smart agriculture, gambling, including using the test spectrum provided by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). Vi has been associated with industry players such as Larsen; Toubro Smart World; Communications, Athonet and domestic startups, Vizzbee and Tweek Labs.

Vi and L \ T today demonstrated the utility of 4K camcorders integrated into the 5G network and real-time video analytics with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to improve public safety while being smart; connected medical condition showed a remote diagnosis of the patient while on the way to the hospital. Vi and Athonet have simulated the digital twin of a tunnel and smart workplace under construction to improve worker safety, meet health and other regulations, and prevent overcrowding.
