Nokia's 5G solutions allow Tele2 to provide connectivity and capacity benefits to its customers with extremely low latency, as well as reduce complexity. Nokia is the incumbent and the only supplier in the deal. The Finnish technology giant is securing Tele2’s nationwide radio network from its Chip-powered AirScale portfolio from its latest ReefShark system. The launch will begin when Tele2 has gained enough spectrum with this year’s auctions in both the low and high bands.

Tele2 previously acquired 5G spectrum in Latvia in the 3.5 GHz and 700 MHz spectrum. Nokia's AirScale RAN portfolio is designed for seamless, easy and efficient plug-in installation and reduced power consumption. It covers all deployment scenarios, including dense urban environments and extensive coverage. Nokia has been cooperating with Tele2 since 1996 to build 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks in the Baltic countries.
