São Paulo, Brazil.- On October 19, Nokia and SENAI signed an agreement to expand the Industry 4.0 training program. The company and institution announced the Center for Information and Communication Technologies, focusing on connectivity, a 5G center that will operate in Vila Mariana, São Paulo.

Wilson Cardoso, CTO of Nokia Brazil, explained to DPL News that the alliance with SENAI began four years ago to train people focused on Industry 4.0. The project started with 4G and evolved to 5G.

“We are now extending the partnership to this technology hub, where all connections will be made using Nokia's 5G. This network will not only be open to the creation and display of technology to society, but also for companies and people to create new applications in an innovation environment in the center of São Paulo,” said Cardoso.

The solution used will be the Nokia MX Industrial Edge, which combines applications and scalable computing and industrial applications, among others, and operates at 3.5 GHz.

SENAI sponsor Ricardo Terra said the first project with Nokia was the installation of a 5G digital bubble on the floor of the SENAI unit's industrial factory in São Caetano, São Paulo state. In addition, they have a mobile school that brings 5G immersion closer to the population. Around 500 people have already been affected by these projects, but Terra points out that there are plans to expand to the entire state of São Paulo.

The Information and Communication Technology Center, invested in connectivity, is expected to open its doors at the beginning of 2023.
