N okia Mobile announced in May that the Nokia X20 5G will join Android 12 Developer Preview, the Android 12 Beta program. They were also informed that the beta version of Android 12 will be available for Nokia X20 5G smartphones from the third quarter of 2021.

The Nokia X20 5G was recently released in the Geébench database running the Android 12 update, so we can already say that we may soon be part of the latest release of Android. The Android 12 smartphone shows results similar to the Android 11 score. So the only good conclusion from this observation is that Nokia Mobile is finally planning to release beta versions for Android 12 on the Nokia X20.

Android is the world's most popular smartphone operating system, running on more than 3 billion smartphones worldwide. As a result, even the smallest changes to the operating system can affect millions of users. But due to the way Android updates are delivered, it is debatable whether these changes are really changing. Nevertheless, we are always looking forward to the next big Android update, hoping to make significant changes. Speaking of which, Android 12 Beta 2 is now available and brings a number of improvements. If you had fallen behind our previous coverage, here’s everything we know so far about Android 12.

With Beta 4, Android 12 has achieved Platform Stability, which means that the behavior towards Android 12 APIs and all applications is final. For developers, compatibility and quality are now the focus.

Android 12 was confirmed back in June on Google IO 2021, which showcases a revamped look and feel that focuses more on privacy and interactivity. We’ve already seen the public beta release show updated notifications, better screenshot support, one-handed mode, and more. Android 12 is an update to Google’s Android operating system in 2021, based on Android 11 in 2020, which some phones still don’t have. But it’s more than an iterative update - Google describes it as the biggest design change in Android’s history, and it certainly shows.
