Nokia Mobile sold 3 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2021

C ounterpoint Research has released its mobile market report, which shows the third quarter of 2021. You can see in the infographics that the smartphone market grew by 6% compared to the second quarter but decreased by 6% compared to the third quarter of 2020.

The Counterpoint report clearly shows that the Finns shipped almost 3 million smartphones, an increase of 12% compared to the second quarter of 2021 and a 37% increase compared to the third quarter of 2020. This result means that Nokia Mobile has retained its 14th place among global smartphone manufacturers.

Commenting on the growth, Counterpoint said, "The growth in the smartphone market has been driven by the Middle East, Africa and North America, where LG is benefiting from its exit."

In terms of feature phones, in the third quarter of 2021, Nokia Mobile will continue to be the 2nd largest manufacturer, shipping about 10 million phones. In total, Nokia Mobile shipped nearly 13 million handsets, making Nokia the 11th largest handset maker in second place from the previous quarter.
