The Nokia G42 5G smartphone will be the first Nokia Mobile device to be available with Android 14 OS soon. All of this became available yesterday, November 1st, on the Geekbench test, where you can clearly see in the picture that the G42 device achieved a pretty good score. I don't have any information on exactly when this will be available to users, but I'm sure it will be with the November security update.
Nokia G42 5G is a mobile phone that, with its 194 grams, fits comfortably in the hand and cannot be twisted. However, the back panel can be pressed in a little in the middle, the pressure also reaches the liquid crystal of the screen. Nokia ships the phone in plastic-free packaging and has partnered with iFixit to offer relatively inexpensive replacement parts and instructions to replace the battery, screen, or back itself. It is not witchcraft, but it is not so simple that any layman dares to do it.
The phone is equipped with NFC, so mobile payment services can be used without any problems. It is also possible to use FM radio, which is convenient if you do not have an Internet connection or do not want to spend data. However, a headset suitable for replacing the antenna is not included in the package.
The Nokia G42 is a dual-SIM phone, but one of the SIM slots doubles as a microSD slot, so it's up to you to decide which one to use. When it comes to microSD, the reader is a little slow in the copy test in our benchmark microSD Angelbird V60 test, but it again produces good results in the CPDT benchmark, so you should expect average speeds overall.
