HMD Global today unveiled the new and rugged Nokia G300 as well as the world’s cheapest 5G smartphone to date, priced at just $ 199. The Nokia G300 offers a large 6.5-inch display, Snapdragon 480 SoC, 5G support, a good battery life and an almost in-stock Android experience.
In terms of raw specifications, the Nokia G300 has a 6.5-inch HD + LCD display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a water drop notch. Under the hood, the Nokia G300 Qualcomm Snapdragon has 480 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

A 4470 mAh battery holds the show; the battery is charged with the 18 W quick charger in the box. In software, the Nokia G300 runs an almost in-stock version of Android 11. Elsewhere, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G support, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm audio connector, a MicroSD card slot and a Type C USB port.
The Nokia G300 is available in a single 4GB / 64GB version and costs $ 199 (GBP 146, EUR 172 and INR 15012). It will be available in the U.S. from Oct. 19 at Tracfone and Straight Talk Wireless dealerships.
