You can buy another Nokia phone at a discounted price, this time the Nokia G20 smartphone in Chile from a Movistar dealer for just 149,990 CLP (GBP 134, EUR 159 and USD 184).
The Nokia G20 is sophisticated yet practical in design, claiming to offer 3 days of battery life and running Android 11 software that is as close to the kit as possible. On paper, it looks like a decent wallet-friendly smartphone with a focus on build quality and trouble-free everyday performance.
Available in a single configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the Nokia G20 comes with a three-slot tray and accepts two nano-SIMs and a microSD card (up to 512GB). While the price isn’t unreasonable for a basic smartphone these days, take a look at what the competitor has to offer in terms of specifications and value-added features, and it’s easy to see that the Nokia G20 is overpriced.
The design of this phone is a mixture of what is seen in Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 5.4. It weighs 197 g and has a thickness of 9.2 mm. The body and back of the Nokia G20 are made of plastic, but they don’t look either cheap. The back cover has a delicate grooved texture, which makes it easier to grip the phone and at the same time gives it a premium feel. My rating unit came in the night version, which is basically a dark blue with a shimmering purple glow that can also be seen obliquely.
At the back is a circular camera module like the Nokia 5.4, but the G20 has a fingerprint reader on the right, not under the cameras. Above the fingerprint reader is the volume control, which was a bit difficult to reach given how tall this phone is. There is a Google Now button on the left and the SIM tray above it. While voice commands work well when the phone is unlocked, they cannot be activated when the phone is locked. Here comes the dedicated button. There is a single speaker, a Type C USB port and a microphone at the bottom, while a headphone jack and a secondary microphone at the top.

There’s a notch at the top of the 6.5-inch display, which seems a bit outdated now that at this price level, much of the competition has shifted toward smaller punching cameras. At the bottom is a noticeable stand that is highlighted by the Nokia logo. The glass front does not attract dust and does not pick up fingerprints easily.
The Nokia G20 uses a MediaTek G35 processor with eight Cortex-A53 cores at up to 2.3 GHz and an integrated IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. There is no dual-band Wi-Fi (only 2.4 GHz supported), but you get Bluetooth 5 and support for GPS / AGPS, GLONASS and Beidou navigation. There is also an FM radio to which you need to connect a pair of wired headphones. The phone is powered by a 5050 mAh battery and Nokia also includes a 10 W wired charger in the box. The 6.5-inch LCD panel has HD + resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz.
