HMD Global has announced to launch a new phone in India. It's called the Nokia C12 Pro and as the name suggests, it's a variant of the Nokia C12 Pro that was launched in the country a few days ago. However, upon closer inspection, the Nokia C12 Pro looks like the Nokia C12 with more RAM, better battery capacity and wider availability.
According to HMD Global, the Nokia C12 Pro will be available in retail stores, e-commerce portals and the Nokia online store "for better accessibility to our customers".
The Nokia C12 Pro also comes with a 3GB RAM version that offers better performance than the Nokia C12 which has a maximum RAM capacity of 2GB. The third difference is the larger battery of the C12 Pro. The Nokia C12 Pro comes with a 4000 mAh battery compared to the 3000 mAh battery of the Nokia C12.
The Nokia C12 Pro is priced at INR 6,999 (GBP 69, EUR 78 and USD 84) for the 2GB RAM and 64GB RAM variants, while the 3GB RAM variant is priced at INR 7,499 (GBP 74, EUR 84 and USD 90). The phone is available for purchase in light mint, charcoal and dark cyan colors.
Other than the RAM and battery, the Nokia C12 specs are the same as the Nokia C12 Pro. The smartphone is powered by the same octa-core Unisoc 9863A1 processor. If you want to expand your phone's storage, you can use a microSD card. The phone runs Android 12 (Go edition). Nokia C12 Pro supports 2 GB RAM expansion. The back of the Nokia C12 Pro houses an 8-megapixel camera, while the front has a 5-megapixel camera in a waterdrop-style notch. The Nokia C12 Pro has a 6.3-inch HD+ display, but gets the traditional 60Hz refresh rate.
