HMD Global is kicking off 2023 with a budget Android 12 Go Edition phone, the Nokia C12, which is a follow-up to the Nokia C10 based on its model number, although it's actually smaller than most of the C-series phones.
The Nokia C12 features a 6.3-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. There is no fingerprint sensor, instead the device uses the Face Unlock function via the 5 MP front camera. On the back of the smartphone is an 8 MP camera and an LED flash. The phone is dust and splash resistant according to the IP52 standard.
Under the hood, the Nokia C12 is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card slot if needed. On the software side, the device runs Android 12 Go Edition.
Nokia promises quarterly security updates for the phone for two years. The smartphone is powered by a 3000 mAh battery which is also removable.
