HMD Global has unveiled its new Nokia 210 4G flagship phone in China, following in the footsteps of the recently released Nokia 200 4G. It’s not exactly your average keypad phone, as it comes with several features that are usually found on smartphones.
The Nokia 210 4G is priced at CNY 229 (GBP 32 EUR 38, USD 44 and INR 4206), and the phone is apparently popular in China, as it has reportedly sold out in pre-orders. The phone’s biggest speciality is its built-in WeChat app. This allows you to make video and voice calls on the Nokia 210 4G, use group chats, and send text and picture messages. There is also an electronic fence, which allows you to monitor the movements of a child or elderly person, for example, via the WeChat mini-program on a smartphone.

Another interesting novelty is the AI voice assistant. With it, the user can use voice commands to open contacts, disconnect calls, add alarms, turn on the radio, turn silent mode on or off, for example. The AI assistant is available for 365 days free of charge after activation.
The Nokia 210 4G also supports QR code payments. It also includes payment limit management and reminders for consumption events, which is why the device is marketed especially for the elderly, students and children. Technically, it is still a simple phone. The Nokia 210 4G has a 2.4-inch LCD display, a 1450 mAh battery, 2.75 W charging, two cameras and an LED flashlight. Additionally, there is Himalaya FM, Migu Music, FM radio, voice recorder, call recording, and dual SIM support with 4G connectivity.
A charger is not included in the sales package, but users can request one free of charge from customer service. HMD justifies the decision by saving resources.
The Nokia 210 4G is clearly aimed at the Chinese market, and it is unlikely to be seen as such in Europe.
