CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. It will take place between January 9 and 12, 2024 at the usual location, the Las Vegas Convention Center, where HMD Global, or HMD America, will now also be present. This year, the Finnish company that operates Nokia-branded devices rented a booth in Murano 3201A, which is the location of the meeting. Last year, HMD struck a similar deal and unveiled several US-based devices.

The Finnish HMD Global is preparing to present its own HMD brand alongside the Nokia brand used by the company so far. Previously, several images of the alleged first HMD-branded phone (Rocky) were leaked, but now HMD Global itself has uploaded a new, even somewhat mysterious image to the Nokia website.
A new website for the HMD brand shows a mysterious image showing a special phone. The picture shows a woman sitting on a cyan telephone. The phone looks more like some kind of 3D model than a real phone. However, this might give you a little glimpse of what HMD has planned.
The image reveals some details about the back of the phone. The device evokes the style of the old Nokia Lumia phones, which was not seen in Nokia phones during the HMD Global era. There's also a box-like camera section on the back of the phone, which apparently houses three cameras and a flash. In addition, the text "108 MP OIS" can be read in the camera area, which refers to the device's 108 megapixel optically stabilized camera. According to the picture, there is also an HMD logo on the back of the device. "If I see it correctly" this face has previously appeared in Nokia phone advertisements, more precisely in the case of the Nokia 2660 Flip and Nokia G42 5G phones, so I can only draw the conclusion that the photo is really original and depicts a real phone that HMD will release in a few days will launch it on the market, because that is the only reason why it was able to share it on Nokia's online interface.
At this point, it's hard to tell if this is actually a device that HMD intends to bring to market. The image is not very detailed, so it might just be some kind of modeling that HMD wanted to use in the image. The information page appeared too early on Nokia.com, as there is also an embedded video that cannot be viewed yet. On the website, HMD Global says the company's goal is simple: "we want to make phones you want to commit to. Phones that are durable, fun, secure, fast and affordable. All of the above. The whole package. Real quality."
