HMD Global has begun deploying Android 11 on compatible smartphones, making it previously available to Nokia 8.3 5G owners. While the Nokia 8.3 5G was the first Nokia smartphone to acquire Android 11, the update slipped to February for the smartphone.

HMD is trying to make changes and plans to release Android 11 soon after Nokia 8.3 5G for other eligible Nokia smartphones. Juho Sarvikas CPO posted an encouraging tweet to Twitter smartphone owners on Twitter.

Juho has promised to repeat the feat of being the fastest in expanding the Android 9 and 10 portfolio for Android 11 as well. This means that the HMD needs to move very fast by releasing the update to other smartphones.

Nokia 2.2 and Nokia 8.1 as well as Nokia 5.3 are the other three smartphones that are said to get Android 11 after Nokia 8.3 5G. The last Nokia smartphone upgraded to Android 11 should have received the update in 2021 Q2.
