HMD updates its SAP cloud-based ERP with a small super team and fast sprints. According to HMD's Jussi Sorval, you should not be afraid of the cloud, but be brave. Nokia phone maker HMD Global has updated its SAP S/4 Hana operations controller. The new Rise with SAP system will run on Microsoft's Azure infrastructure instead of SAP's own cloud service.
The most significant reason for HMD's jump was the expiration of the old five-year license agreement. The most important thing in the cloud-erp upgrade project was the commitment of the business people from the beginning. They were offered a pilot and demo environment.
“After all, it was surprisingly easy to do. Or good - but it really helps a lot if you know what you're doing," says Jussi Sorvali, IT director at HMD.
SAP leverages the legacy EMM solution replacement for managed Android smartphones to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the mobile workplace. The company now offers its employees Nokia Android One smartphones from the Android Enterprise Recommended program.
