In September, Jean-Francois Baril, CEO of HMD Global, the brand licensee of Nokia Mobile, announced that they were ready to launch smartphones on LinkedIn.
The first two HMD phones were spotted by the GSM China team and officially confirmed with information from GSMA's IMEI database, for two models N159V and TA-1585. Confirming their existence underscores the importance of competition between smartphone manufacturers, which benefits users by promoting innovation and diverse market choices.
Now one of the devices has been spotted on the UK's "CB test" certification, which has revealed the charging speed. HMD Global TA-1585 is listed on Element Materials Technology certification. According to the listing, the device ships with a 10W charging speed and 10W reverse charging. Further details of the device have not yet been made public.
