KIANEWS CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. It will take place between January 9 and 12, 2024 at the usual location, the Las Vegas Convention Center, where HMD Global, or HMD America, will now also be present. This year, the Finnish company that operates Nokia-branded devices rented a booth in Murano 3201A, which is the location of the meeting. Last year, HMD struck a similar deal and unveiled several US-based devices.

HMD Global, the company known for its Nokia-branded Android phones, has just unveiled its new Pulse series of smartphones. While these phones are aimed at a global audience, HMD has also introduced a special model for the US market, the HMD Vibe.
Designed to appeal to budget users in the US. Take a look at its features, specifications and price. The Vibe runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which belongs to the middle category and is suitable for everyday use. It's paired with 6GB of RAM and offers 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD card for those who need the extra space. Additionally, the phone boasts 4GB of virtual RAM.

It is backed by a 4000mAh battery that promises up to two days of use on a single charge. Those who like fast charging may be disappointed, however, as the Vibe only supports 10W wired charging. The display is a decent size, 6.56 inches, with HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The camera system is also pretty basic.
There's a dual setup on the back with a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, likely for portrait mode effects. There is a 5 MP front camera for taking selfies. All cameras have HDR, AI processing and skin tone optimization.

Additionally, the phone is IP52 rated, making it dustproof and resistant to light water drops. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G LTE. Namely, that there is no fingerprint scanner; instead, the device relies solely on face unlock for biometric security.
The HMD Vibe is priced at USD 150 (GBP 120, EUR 140, INR 12,511) and will be available in the US in May. It will be available for purchase from HMD's website as well as major retailers such as Amazon and Best Buy.
