HMD recently teased the launch of a new 5G device in the Indian market called the HMD Vibe 5G. Earlier, the company did not reveal the launch date of this smartphone, but now they have officially confirmed on their X channel that the device will debut in the country on September 11.
The smartphone will come in purple and black colors. It is teased that it will come with a 50MP AI rear camera. The device will feature a square-shaped camera module that houses two camera sensors and an LED flash. The camera decoration is highlighted by two illuminated lines, which hints at glyph-style lighting.
The device is already listed on the official website of HMD India, although it is not clear whether the smartphone will be available via Flipkart or Amazon or not.
In a recent interview with Financial Express, Ravi Kumar, VP & CEO, APAC, Australia & New Zealand, HMD India, revealed that a 5G smartphone under Rs 10,000 will be launched in India soon. Since the company has confirmed the launch of the HMD Vibe 5G, it is assumed that the CEO may be talking about this smartphone only.
