HMD Global is preparing to launch a new smartphone, the HMD Vibe 5G. The company has hinted at a launch in India at least, but the first official images of the new product have been shared.
The images show the HMD Vibe 5G in two colors, black and purple. Particular attention is paid to the camera frame, which apparently has an LED light. The lights can work, for example, to display notifications.
The phone is codenamed Accord, which has previously appeared in several leaks. The Geekbench benchmark revealed that the device uses the Unisoc T8300 SoC (formerly Tiger T760). This is an octa-core chip that offers moderate performance, especially for basic use.
Accord, according to the leaked information, the HMD Accord, i.e. the Vibe 5G we just saw, will offer the Android 15 operating system. According to Geekbench, the single-core score was 741 points and the multi-core score was 2258 points, indicating a lower-end device.
HMD has not yet confirmed a specific release date, but based on the tips, the HMD Vibe 5G launch is very close. There is no information yet on whether the phone will be available in Europe.
