CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. HMD is launching its first “original collection smartphone” that emphasizes repairability and is aimed at Gen Z. HMD on Wednesday unveiled its first original HMD collection smartphone, which includes three devices: HMD Pulse Pro, HMD Pulse Plus and HMD Pulse. The company claims that these devices "strike the perfect balance between affordability, design and repairability."
All three versions of the HMD Pulse smartphone feature "Gen 1 repairability," which allows users to select parts from platforms like iFixit and repair the product themselves, including replacing the screen and battery. Note that these are 4G smartphones running Android 14. The HMD Pulse is the cheapest model in the range, powered by the same Unisoc T606 processor as the other two and offering a 6.6-inch HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 13MP primary camera and a 5000mAh battery.
