A new, unfortunately only mid-range smartphone specification was made available by @smashx_60 a few hours ago, in which we can see a new, let's call it gently "normal" smartphone from the Finnish HMD Global.
HMD Grand Specifications:
| Display: | IPS LCD 6.9" FHD+, 90Hz |
| Refresh Rate: | 90Hz |

| Other properties: | Dual Speakers, 3.5mm audio, WiFi5, Splash touch, 2 Mics, BT5.1, nfc etc. |
The device mentioned above has a huge IPS LCD 6.9 display which was only equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate. I think this is not enough these days....but let's move on to the specifications, The phone has a 50MP AI and 8MP UW camera and a 50MP selfie which I would not call appropriate for today's narratives. Here again, the goal was to make a "cheap" phone, not a powerful flagship device.
Fortunately, its processor is a good Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 which is designed for entry-level and mid-range smartphones. The chip targets 4G regions with an aggressively turbocharged CPU-GPU pair, which is made with the 6 nm manufacturing technology.
Moving on and looking at the battery capacity of the device, we can say a little bit about it, because HMD has equipped the device with a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The device was equipped with the latest Android 16 which is supported by the Finnish manufacturer with 2/3 quarterly updates.
Maybe.... this phone is not as crappy as it seems at first glance? Check out the specifications!
