CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. It will take place between January 9 and 12, 2024 at the usual location, the Las Vegas Convention Center, where HMD Global, or HMD America, will now also be present. This year, the Finnish company that operates Nokia-branded devices rented a booth in Murano 3201A, which is the location of the meeting. Last year, HMD struck a similar deal and unveiled several US-based devices.

Asof today, HMD Global has officially announced the announcement time of Barbie's flip phone, which is August 28. On HMD's "X" account, they shared the availability time of Barbie's phone, which is August 28!
Pricing, specifications or features for the as-yet-unnamed Barbie phone have not been announced, but it is expected to be more of a traditional feature flip phone than a smartphone.
In an interview, Adam Ferguson, HMD's global head of insights, proposition and product marketing, confirmed that it will be an all-new device. "Barbie is not the kind of brand you go for, here's a ready-made solution," she says.
HMD is working with Mattel on our phone, which will be available from July. We don't know exactly what it will look like at this stage, but it promises to embody the vintage elegance of our brand heritage, which as you all know dates back to 1959.
"Barbie, you could have made your own phone by now, but we'll leave that to HMD," Isabel Ferrer, Mattel's EMEA marketing director, said when announcing the phone on Sunday.
We know that the device will be a flip phone that offers an updated feature phone experience rather than a smartphone experience. This is in line with HMD's commitment to encourage us on the digital detox trend. The company says the Barbie Flip phone offers a new option for Gen Z and millennial phone users, who are increasingly looking for ways to stay connected while protecting their peace by spending less time on social media.
