A ccording to a leak shared online, HMD Global – the Finnish tech company – is likely to replace its Pulse series of phones with the new Thunder series. Also, two new devices are expected to be launched soon in this Thunder series as their renders and key specifications have also been shared online.
This leak comes from a tipster who goes by the username @smashx_60 on X. In a post, he shared that “the HMD Pulse family is officially dead, the HMD Thunder family will replace them.” Furthermore, in a subsequent post, he shared the renders and key specifications of this new upcoming series.

According to the details mentioned, the HMD Thunder will feature a 6.67" FHD+ HID OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and could feature a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup on the camera side, along with an 8MP front camera. The device is also expected to be powered by the Unisoc T620 chipset, which offers a 2.2GHz clock speed, and will likely run on Android 16. It could be available in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB storage variants, and it could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W charging. Other key features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, full-view display, 3.5mm audio jack, and mono speaker. Baby Blue, Midnight Black, and Peach Pink are said to be the expected color options.
Speaking of the HMD Thunder Pro, the device will feature a 6.67" FHD+ It comes with a HID OLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, it could carry a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear, and a 50MP selfie camera on the front. This model is also said to be powered by a Unisoc T620 2.2GHz chipset and will be available in 8GB of RAM, 128GB, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage options. Speaking of the battery, the Thunder Pro is likely to pack a larger 6,000mAh battery, while 20W charging support is also mentioned.

In addition to the aforementioned details, the HMD Thunder Pro will also come with NFC, IP65-rated protection, dual speakers, dual microphones, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a metal frame. Cosmic Black, Jade Green, and Dark Bronze are expected to be the color options for the smartphone.
Talking about the design, both the phones feature a tablet-shaped camera deco that is placed horizontally in the middle of the rear panel. There are two circular cutouts on either side of the camera module, while an LED flash is present in the middle.

Along with the two smartphones, the specifications of the latest HMD Amped Buds 2 earbuds have also been leaked, which already include Qi2 charging capability, and it is worth mentioning the 2,000mAh battery case, which is unique to HMD. The earbuds will be available in Neon Blue, Titanium, and Yellow Bee colors.
The tipster has not mentioned anything about the launch timeline yet, but the launch could happen soon, as renders and key specifications of the devices have now been leaked online.
