Nokia Mobile is one of Google's favorite smartphone partners. HMD Global, the startup behind Nokia Mobile, received direct investment this summer from Google and its partners, with almost all Nokia smartphones being part of the Android One program. Nokia Mobile plans to remain a favorite of Google, as evidenced by an internal document sent to us. The same document also indicated that we could see a Nokia 10 soon.

One of the first points of interest in the documents is that HMD Global continues to aim to be among the top 3 smartphone players in the next 3-5 years.

There is a huge emphasis on Google, the technology and services provided by Google. One sentence says that Nokia phones are pixels for all price ranges and that “Google provides 95% of our innovation”. It is later said that HMD must become the best and preferred Google partner and to do so, it must master Google’s offer.

One section outlines the responsibilities of Nokia and HMD in the brand license agreement. Nokia is responsible for setting guidelines, requirements, and guidelines for product quality, marketing, and the safety and human rights of Nokia phones.

Interestingly enough, there is another section on live events and organizing events that says, “Don’t compare our products to the competition”. The key markets listed Nokia Mobile focuses on winning (in that order): India, China, Russia, Indonesia, UK, Germany, South Africa, Mexico and the USA. A section of the document forbids commenting on rumors about the Nokia 10. In the document, the Nokia 10 is the only such device that suggests that the phone is genuine.
