Google will release the next big version of Android, Android 12, later this year, following the Developer Previews and the Betas series, which has probably already begun.

Prior to the stable release, Google will share the documentation and source code with key partners to give them time to prepare for the release. The alleged Android 12 screenshots show the user interface of a new notification panel.

Transparency is gone and replaced with an opaque light beige background, and the color probably depends on the current subject and enabling Dark Mode. The difference between the Conversations section and other notifications still exists, and the rounded corners of each notification are now more pronounced. Google may add new privacy features to Android 12 that allow you to receive alerts in the new Android version in the form of status bar indicators when an app is using a camera or microphone. Touching the status bar icons may bring up a pop-up window at the top of the screen that tells you exactly which application is using the camera or microphone.

The new Privacy settings may include switches to disable the camera and mute the microphone completely, while turning location access on and off. You can now disable all sensors on your device with the "Sensors Off" Quick Setup tile, but this tile can only appear after you enable Developer Settings.
