CES or the International Consumer Electronics Show is the premium event of the technology sector. It will take place between January 9 and 12, 2024 at the usual location, the Las Vegas Convention Center, where HMD Global, or HMD America, will now also be present. This year, the Finnish company that operates Nokia-branded devices rented a booth in Murano 3201A, which is the location of the meeting. Last year, HMD struck a similar deal and unveiled several US-based devices.
Amazon is suing Nokia for infringing several AWS cloud computing patents

A mazon has sued Nokia in the US state of Delaware, alleging that the Finnish networking equipment maker infringed on dozens of patents. The tech giant claims these are patents related to cloud technology, as revealed by Reuters news agency.
According to Amazon, Nokia misused some of Amazon's technologies related to cloud infrastructure, security and performance to bolster its own cloud offerings. Nokia and Amazon temporarily did not comment on the case to the Reuters news agency.
According to the lawsuit filed earlier this week in federal court in Delaware, Nokia illegally used technology developed by its cloud division, Amazon Web Services, to develop its own cloud computing offering.
Amazon alleges that Nokia misused AWS technology related to cloud infrastructure, security and performance. The complaint outlines Amazon's history of cloud innovation, dating back to the early 2000s when the company began developing its cloud computing technology.
Amazon says it has "democratized access to computing infrastructure and software through its cloud-based, on-demand service model," which previously required businesses to rely on expensive on-premises infrastructure.
Amazon, which boasts more than 90% of Fortune 100 companies, says Nokia's "new corporate strategy," announced in 2020, six years after the company exited the mobile device market, "includes leveraging Amazon's innovative solutions, including Amazon's proprietary technology to address the challenges of cloud providers". The company continues: "Amazon pioneered the cloud, and now Nokia is using Amazon's proprietary cloud innovations without permission."
The lawsuit is a response to 13 legal proceedings filed by Nokia late last year in the United States, Brazil, India, Germany, the United Kingdom and the EU regarding video patents.
Via LinkNokia said it would "review these matters and vigorously defend itself in court." An Amazon spokesperson declined to comment on the news.
